2K88, Lauren Duffus, Rainy Miller, Bianca Scout – Salto

A frankly ludicrous amount of talent combines for Everything Always Changes, For We’re Truly Here, a collaborative LP from four of the most boundary-pushing electronic and experimental artists working today. Cult Polish producer Przemysław Jankowiak, aka 2K88, brings together Rainy Miller, Lauren Duffus and Bianca Scout, creating a dreamlike album blending R&B, ambient electronics and fragmented vocals, inspired by the slow, dreamlike dance at the heart of the Polish film Salto.

Marina Zispin – The Bells (time will tell)

Now You See Me, Now You Don’t is the brilliant debut LP from Marina Zispin, the project of Bianca Scout and Martyn Reid. Scout, a composer and vocalist, has built a reputation for blending ambient, spoken word, and contemporary classical elements, with past work including The Heart of the Anchoress and last year’s incredible Pattern Damage. This new collaboration continues her exploration of fragmented memory and shifting perceptions, but with a (mostly) more upbeat tone that much of her previous work.

Bianca Scout – Forest Spirit feat. Darkmarik

Blurring the lines between chamber music, contemporary dance, dark pop and ethereal ambience, Klein, Mica Levi and Space Afrika collaborator Bianca Scout distills a decade of multidisciplinary work with her new album Pattern Damage, moving between diaristic ephemera, demure post-punk and chamber ambient, and cracking open bewildering crypto-romantique wormholes in the process. And yes, this is pretty much a direct copy and paste of the release hype, but a) it’s accurate and b) it’s a bank holiday and I have better (lazier) things to be doing.

Bianca Scout – Empty space

Following collaborations with artist like Space Afrika, Ben Vince, and Elena Isolini, Bianca Scout’s new album The Heart of the Anchoress started life as a three day recording session at St Giles Church in Camberwell. Dark, dreamy and hypnotic, it sits somewhere between TPW favourites Grouper and Andy Stott, with opening track Empty space nicely setting the tone for the gloomy euphoria to come.
